Authorities seized around P9 million worth of suspected shabu from two men arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sawang Celero, Cebu City Thursday afternoon.
One of the suspects said a certain “Pretty Boy” asked him to fetch a plastic bag from a neighboring barangay in San Nicholas.
The 18-year-old suspect added that he was aware of the contents of the bag but did not know where the sachets of shabu were to be brought.
Police said “Pretty Boy” is a member of a big drug group in Cebu. He was supposedly renting a room in the house where the operation was conducted but was not around during the buy-bust.
Authorities have yet to get the profile of other tenants who were also out when the operation was conducted.
San Nicholas Police Station Chief Major Kenneth Paul Albotra said they were able to locate the address from confessions of previous arrested suspects.
Cebu City Police Office officer-in-charge Police Col. Geovanie Maines said the group’s alleged drug distribution could have reached other villages given the volume seized.
