App helps small businessmen, freelancers pay gov't fees

MANILA – Small business owners and work from their home individuals now have the option to pay government fees using one mobile app, its developer said Tuesday.

Moneygment app by TogeTech allows users to pay the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Social Security System, Pag-ibig Fund and PhilHealth through bank transfers, DragonPay, Paypal and even in 7-Eleven stores, said TogeTech president and CEO Jessica Palmiano.

Palmiano said they are looking at charging P25 fee per transaction. It is currently only available on Android.

“We wanted to help Filipinos really future proof themselves, so this time, we provided that facility, at any given point in time they’re ready to pay so it’s easy for them,” Palmiano told ANC’s Early Edition.

Moneygment also allows users to pay the government fees of their household staff. Loan applications may be included soon, she said.
