MANILA – Billy Crawford does not feel like he’s working every time he is hosting “Pilipinas Got Talent” alongside Toni Gonzaga, who replaced Luis Manzano on the show.
“‘Yung rapport naming dalawa, nagkatrabaho na kami before for ‘Pinoy Dream Academy’ nung 2008. Pero this time na magkasama kami, sobrang parang hindi nga trabaho. Parang nage-enjoy talaga kami,” he told ABS-CBN News.
Crawford agrees with Manzano’s statement that adding Gonzaga to the show is like “an upgrade to ‘Pilipinas Got Talent.'”
Gonzaga, for her part, feels grateful and blessed to be tapped as one of the hosts of “PGT,” which is now on its eighth year.
“Masaya. Actually lagi kong sinasabi, ito ang isa sa maco-consider ko na pinakamasayang reality show. Hindi siya naka-box sa iisang konsepto na ganun lang ang pwede mong gawin. Malaya ka maging masaya, mag-interact, anything can happen on stage,” she said.
When asked why she thinks “PGT” is a huge hit among viewers, Gonzaga said: “Laging good vibes lang ang dala ng programa. It transcends on screen. Kaya siguro nagiging maganda talaga ang ‘PGT.'”
“Pilipinas Got Talent” airs Saturdays after “Home Sweetie Home,” and Sundays after “Wansapanataym.”
Among its judges are Vice Ganda, Robin Padilla, Angel Locsin, and former ABS-CBN president Freddie M. Garcia.
