Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao in fine form as he enters the final stretch of his preparations for his showdown against Keith Thurman.
The “Pacman” challenges Thurman for his WBA (super) welterweight world title on July 20 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas (July 21 in Manila), and has been training hard at the Wild Card Gym.
During his media day, Pacquiao declared himself “100% ready” for the bout.
“Excited na,” said the veteran boxer, who had just one prediction about the fight.
“Hindi ako nagpe-predict, pero sinabi ko na, my analysis of the fight… Malaki ang percentage na hindi matapos ‘yung 12 rounds,” said Pacquiao.
This will be Pacquiao’s 71st boxing match in his professional career. He brings with him a record of 61 wins (39 knockouts), 7 losses, and 2 draws.
Thurman, for his part, has a record of 29 wins with one no contest. He has won 22 bouts by knockout. However, Thurman is also coming off a long period of activity, having just returned to the ring in January 2019 after last fighting in 2017.
