Singapore-based British lawyer Isabelle Claisse will run a total of 500 kilometers to raise funds for the medication of the cancer-stricken son of her Filipina maid, according to a report by The Strait Times.
Claisse earlier shaved her head to help raise funds for her maid’s son, Dave, who underwent surgery to replace a cancerous bone in his leg with an implant.
However, Dave has to undergo another procedure after contracting an infection in his leg.
Claisse aims to raise $ 12,000 for Dave’s medical treatment. She is asking people to pledge money and sponsor her for every kilometer she runs.
“Every little amount will help. It will be a gift that will keep on giving for the next 10 years,” Claisse said in The Strait Times.
Claisse has also set up a Facebook page to document her daily runs.
