Jung Yong-hwa, the vocalist of Korean pop rock group CNBLUE, quickly learned popular Filipino slang as they performed in Manila.
CNBLUE held their concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum last Saturday, where Jung called himself “lodi,” a slang for “idol.”
WHOEVER TAUGHT @JYHeffect PETMALU AND LODI I DON’T KNOW IF I SHOULD CURSE YOU OR THANK YOU, BUT THIS WILL DEFINITELY HAUNT ME IN MY DREAMS TONIGHT.
We had so much fun!! You’re the ultimate LODI Yong-hwa, that’s for sure haha #CNBLUE#BetweenUsInMANILA@ime_ph@philconcertspic.twitter.com/ZB2a0jIYPj

He also used the term “petmalu” (malupet) in a caption in one of his posts on Instagram.
“Manila! Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat. Dahil sa inyo, naging petmalu ang last stop for our tour. Magkita tayo ulit! I am your ‘ LODI’ . Lol👏🏼🔥 Manila! Thank you all for finishing up our tour so great. I’ll see you again!” he wrote.
Before their concert, Jung and bandmate Lee Jung-shin shared photos of themselves with posters announcing their concert.
Aside from Jung and Lee, other members of CNBLUE are Kang Min-hyuk and Lee Jong-hyun.
