MANILA – A flexible benefits package that caters to the millennial generation’s interests is key to recruiting and keeping them in a company’s talent pool, a top hiring consultant said Thursday.
Employers can lure the young labor force with benefits like extra leave credits and loan options to fund their next vacation on top of standard benefits like health coverage, said Yu Ming Chin, founder and executive director of Viventis Search Asia.
“The mindset they have is very short. It’s a me generation. The strategy to hire them and to keep them is all about structuring a very different compensation and benefit scheme,” he told ANC’s “Market Edge with Cathy Yang.”
