Kris Aquino’s lawyers stated that their client is incapable of having someone killed, in response to the allegations of lawyer Jesus Falcis that Aquino threatened his brother, Aquino’s former project manager and business partner Nicardo “Nicko” Falcis Jr.
Aquino filed qualified theft charges against Nicko on Nov. 14 for allegedly using funds from her production company, Kristina C. Aquino Productions (KCAP), for personal use.
Jesus took to Instagram on Friday, Nov. 16 to call Aquino a liar for stating that certain items on the list of expenses of Aquino’s entourage were Nicko’s unauthorized personal expenditure. In a separate post today, Jesus claimed that Nicko was forced to go overseas because Aquino threatened him. Jesus said he missed the company of his brother for his birthday salubong because of Aquino’s “vindictiveness against him for leaving [her].”
In a statement issued by Divina Law posted by the Queen of All Media via the same platform today, her lawyers questioned why Jesus was making a public statement for his brother. The law firm stated that Nicko has not submitted any counter-affidavit and that there is currently no warrant for his arrest.

i am sorry that i do not fit the “mold” of what most people have come to admire in my family… i am not simple. i do not keep quiet when attacked. i am not private. and i don’t play down what i’ve achieved because i have had to be fierce in order to survive… i also do not subscribe to the belief that people should be allowed to just tell their lies since eventually the truth comes out anyway, because in my opinion we are only sure of NOW. i know everything about me can be scrutinized because i chose a high profile career. The millions i earn give you the right to judge me, my past, my mistakes, and even my choice in men… yet nobody can ever justifiably say that there is anything remotely questionable about my financial dealings, my trustworthiness about money, and most especially the transparency and absolute spotlessness of my BIR tax records. I have heard all the insults BUT the 1 thing that has never stuck is that kris aquino is a liar. Drama queen, possible… but definitely not lying queen and never magnanakaw queen. On Monday morning with an apology in advance to Mayor Herbert Bautista and Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte, i shall again need to step on your turf because the Quezon City Hall of Justice is within your compound. I was brought up to respect the rule of law, my father gave his life for that principle. And i am also my mother’s daughter, so i shall be exercising my constitutional right to defend my dignity and honor. Pinalaki po akong hinaharap, hindi tinataguan ang lahat ng mga kaso. P.S. To my followers, my lovers, and also my haters: Divina Law and Atty Sig Fortun gave me strict instructions to turn off commenting for this post so as not to be accused of using public opinion to strengthen my cases. Monday morning, November 19, 2018 shall anyway come soon enough for even more of my truth to be heard in the proper forum.

“Why is he hiding? Flight is an admission of guilt,” her lawyers said. “Ms. Kris Aquino is not capable of having someone killed. That is why she filed cases in the proper forum.”
The law firm said it has tried to reach out to the camp of Nicko but they were “unreasonable, unwilling and insincere.” To support their statement, the law firm also released screengrabs of text messages between them and Nicko’s lawyers.
The images of the messages, dated Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, showed the exchange between Regi of Ponferrada Ty Law and Ricky dela Cruz of Divina Law. Aquino’s lawyer asked for a meeting with Nicko’s camp at Manila Polo Club on Oct. 30.
Dela Cruz said Aquino is requesting that Nicko’s mother and sister Charlene accompany his lawyers with an authorized special power of attorney (SPA) to settle the cases. Regi initially replied that the two will be present at the said meeting. However, he later retracted his statement, saying Nicko does not want to execute an SPA.
Apparently, Nicko wanted to personally sign the compromise agreement in the Philippines. But to be able to do so, Nicko asked Aquino’s camp to drop the cases against him. Unable to find a compromise, Dela Cruz apparently canceled the supposed Oct. 30 meeting. JB
