MANILA, Philippines – A well-rested Wangs Basketball-Letran side will try to solidify its position in the Top 4 when it takes on Go for Gold in the PBA D-League Aspirants Cup on Monday at the JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The Couriers are coming off an 11-day break, which is of no comfort to head coach Jeff Napa ahead of their 12 noon showdown against the Scratchers.

“Medyo malamya kami, at ‘yun ang gusto kong ayusin dito sa susunod naming laro,” said Napa.

“Hindi ko alam kung nagre-relax ba kami o kumpyansa, pero ‘yun ‘yung mga little things na kailangan naming i-address,” he added.

The Couriers are coming off an 88-83 win over University of Perpetual Help, but will need to get past the Scratchers to improve their 4-2 win-loss record and stay in the Top 4 of the league standings.

Napa is banking on veterans such as JP Calvo and Bong Quinto as they battle the dangerous Go for Gold team.

“Medyo malakas ‘yung kalaban namin, so pagta-trabahuhan na lang namin ulit,” said the coach.

Go for Gold (4-4) is coming off a tough 80-86 loss to Marinerong Pilipino last Tuesday.

However, they are determined to bounce back with new recruit Paul Desiderio joining forces with leaders Jerwin Gaco and J-Jay Alejandro.
