MANILA — A new concert series from the company behind the successful Wanderland music festival featuring both local and international acts kicks off this week.
The Karpos Live series is set to make its debut with Mix 1.1, featuring indie artists Reese Lansangan and Tom’s Story, on June 15 at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent in Quezon City.
The Wanderland alums will be playing a 90-minute showcase in the event, a first for both artists.
Lansangan, one of the most popular indie artists in Manila, will take the stage to perform her compositions like the fun and snarky "Grammar Nazi," the romantic "Home," and other songs from her album, "Arigato, Internet!"
On the other hand, Tom's Story, composed of members Tom Naval, Gabba Santiago, and Christer de Guia, have been known to wow audiences with their post-math rock stylings — telling stories with their sometimes discordant guitar riffs, and wild syncopated drums.
Tickets are priced at P1,250, exclusive of 7% ticket service charge, and are available at the Karpos Live website.
