WATCH: Nonito Donaire wows opponent’s fans by singing Ed Sheeran

Usually, when boxers take part in open workouts, they use the time to showcase their in-ring skills.

They hit the mitts, shadow-box, skip rope and the like.

During Nonito Donaire Jr.’s open workout in Belfast, Northern Ireland, however, the 4-division world champion did showcase his skills, but not the in-ring ones.

Instead, “The Filipino Flash” busted out a rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.”

Before that, Donaire also showed off his fancy footwork in the form of a dance.

Arguably the best part of Donaire’s open workout however, was when he asked a bunch of kids to come up to the ring so that he could teach them a thing or two about the basics of boxing.

Safe to say that even though he’ll be fighting against one of Belfast’s own heroes in Carl Frampton on Sunday morning, Donaire’s already won over the Irish fans.

The lead-up to Donaire and Frampton’s highly anticipated WBO featherweight interim world title bout has been nothing but respectful, which is a refreshing sight to see, especially in an industry that’s pretty much run on animosity and anger.

If you can recall, instead of trading verbal jabs, Donaire and Frampton opted for a sing-off when their fight was announced earlier this year.

You can catch the Donaire-Frampton fight for the WBO interim featherweight world title on Sunday, April 22, 6:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN S+A channel 23!
